Old man Daniel Carver owns a small town and keeps the press out with gangsters. The people of Carverville are in poverty and live under miserable conditions. This is the show's last program before Christmas, and by no coincidence, the story sounds stolen right out of, "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens.
