Both Jane and Irma lose their jobs at the same time. Al backs a friend in a poker game to ante up some cash for the girls. This is the show from which "Here's To Veterans" was taken. + The loveable but dumb Irma is fired by her boss for her inefficiency but she isn’t worried about losing her job because she has a roommate Jane who will take care of her because she has a steady job and works for her boyfriend so she can never get fired. Meanwhile, Jane Stacy has resigned from her job because she has come to the conclusion that it is better to be the boss’s wife and worry about the secretary than be the secretary and worry about being the boss’s wife. Jane isn’t worried because she believes that Irma has a steady job and will take care of her!

When Linda arrives home with her friends making a rabble of a noise an argument ensues with her husband accusing her and her friends of behaving like a pack of yowling, screaming ally cats and he announces he's through with her. Then she cruelly informs him that she only married him for his money. He accuses her of being a cat a big white heartless cat, with unexpected consequences.
